Hiiii! Here are some images from a recent trip. I absolutely love them and am excited to share. This has not always been the case. I’m in a process of growing into loving and being proud of my work more quickly than I have in the past.  My recent travels put a microscope on my own inner dialogue and  created a greenhouse for growth out of a mindset that has been holding me back.  I’m learning to let others into my process and it’s bringing a whole new joy and sense of accomplishment to my work.

Imperfection is beauty. Be brave. Take the risk. Share. Be disappointed. You most certainly will be as you set out to create. A flawed creation is better than the perfect unexecuted one that lives in your mind’s eye. What are your personal blockades, what helps you get over them?

Without further adieu, here are some sunshine filled images from Joshua Tree Desert. Hope you enjoy.

I was so happy these two were able to keep their engagement appointment, which fell in the middle of our snow-filled January. I slipped and slid around ungracefully as I captured this adorable couple and their two dogs Major and Tulip in the snow. Hope you enjoy a flashback to Snowmageddon on this Valentine’s Day. Thanks for humoring my atics, Aynsley and Silas, and trying to catch me as I skidded down the ice-packed hills in Cathedral Park–next time I’m choosing a flat spot. Happy Valentines, guys! I cannot wait to capture your wedding day.

  • Youngberg Hill Vineyards – Aynsley + Silas » . Becca Blevins . - […] Aynsley and Silas said their “I do’s” on July 2nd at Oregon’s scenic Youngberg Hill Vineyards. They were accompanied down the isl by their flower girl Tulip, a pug the couple has owned together since college. They wrote their vows separately and when they read them to each other at the altar, they were almost mirror images.  Both giving mention to their fur babies and unashamed love of the Timbers. When it came time to the reception, they even cut their tiny cake with an axe in honor of Timber Joey. That’s a first in my book. Wishing you all the love in the world Silas and Aynsley!
