Matt Nathanson – Mission Bells

My talented friends at Fort Ripper  were  recently asked to produce a music video for Matt Nathanson. They opted for a gorgeous yet eerie Hitchcockian motif for the aesthetic, which I am always a sucker for. The film was shot in SanFransico, the Oregon coast and in Portland, Oregon. They used 3’s and triangles as an underlying visual theme, adding a lot of nice depth to the short. There’s always something to keep an eye out for. A few weeks ago I shot a few stills on set to capture a bit of what went on behind the scenes. I  had such a great time seeing their creative process at work,  the final result of the video is stunning. Below of are few of my favorite shots from the day and here’s a link to the music video:  Mission Bells – Matt Nathanson

As you can see from the stills, they had 6 girls dressed identically to the main character for a multiplicity effect in the video. It made for a lot of fun photos behind the scenes. I just might start doing all of my shoots with 6 identical models from now on.

  • monica ninh - Hey, Becca!

I was the hair/makeup artist for this shoot. Could you send me these photos?!! Amazing! i’m putting it up on my site and my agent wants a copy of all my work. And would it be possible to have the photos without the watermark?

    Thanks so much!
